Sahira Q
Sahira Q is Peterborough’s one and only Drag Djinn and the founder of the Haus of Q. They have performed all across Southern Ontario throughout their career, but have worked extensively in Peterborough/Nogojiwanong and the Kawartha’s to help many new performers explore Drag as an artform. They are a multidisciplinary artist focusing on performance art and digital illustrations, and they use Drag as a way to express and explore themes of gender, culture, romance, pleasure, and self. Aside from being a local icon, legend, and star, Sahira is a freelance graphic designer who has secured contracts with the Peterborough Aids Resource Network, LGBT Youthline, Trans Youth Canada, and the Reframe Film Festival, to name a few.
